Founding Veterinarian
Meet Dr. Davenport
Dr. Davenport grew up in the Comox Valley and loves the outdoors. She spent her former years playing with a menagerie of pets and borrowed horses. After years of working at a veterinary clinic and completing her undergraduate degree, Dr. Davenport was accepted into the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. She and her husband, Daniel, made the trek out to the Prairies for a few years, and upon graduating in 2016, they skedaddled back to this lovely Island and started building their dreams.
Dr. Davenport enjoys building relationships with her patients and their families to support their best lives. Making patients feel as comfortable as possible in the clinic is very important to her and Dr. Davenport is Fear Free certified to facilitate this goal. She enjoys the variety that veterinary medicine provides and particular interest in keeping feline and canine patients moving well throughout their lives. Dr. Davenport became a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist in 2019 and is excited to pursue this fully in our rehab-specific area of the hospital.
When not working in the clinic, Dr. Davenport can be found adventuring with her two young daughters and digging in the dirt. Her acreage is ruled by her ginger cats, Fred and George, and the best Jack Russel Terror, Daisy. Not to be excluded are a chatty pony named Lucy, a boss mare named Priscilla, and a flock of chickens, some of which still produce eggs but most of which are cheeky freeloaders.
